A lovely forest walk from your doorstep takes you to the Glenashdale falls and the new viewing point allows quite spectacular views of the falls tumbling over a hundred feet into the valley below. Also on this walk it is possible to visit the Giant’s Graves.

Only 4 miles to the south is the village of Kildonan, where seals can be seen on the rocks and children can spent hours on the beach making sandcastles with views of Pladda Island and Ailsa Craig. Browse in one of the art galleries or enjoy a light meal or snack at the “Coffee Pot” which serves delicious home baking.

The pretty seaside village of Whiting Bay is situated on the east coast of Arran, 8 miles from the main ferry terminal at Brodick. n the evening why not experience the excellent cuisine at one of the restaurants in Whiting Bay, all are along the seafront.  Relax in the friendly bar and enjoy the weekly live music at the Bar Eden, which serves food until 9pm every evening, ideal if you have been out walking or exploring all day.

There is a lovely sandy beach with views of the Holy Isle, an 18-hole golf course with fantastic views of the Ayrshire coast, putting, bowling and a children’s play park.

Along the seafront you will find one well-stocked village shops, a pharmacy, newsagent, post office and garage.
